This movie. Oh my god this movie.

This movie is friggin' gorgeous, ESPECIALLY if you're an animation nerd. Pretty much every twist got me, the music is beautiful, the story is amazing, UGH! GO SEE IT!!! I'm sorry I can't go into as much detail as I did with Nerve, this movie blew my mind to much to focus on certain points. Laika studios has done it again!!! PLEASE go see it! You'll have an amazing time! This movie is now tied with Song of the Sea for my favorite movie ever.

A Visit from Dad by Sword-wielding-gamer
A Visit from Dad
Everyone else is doing this, might as well join in.

"Ugh, where is he?!" Rain and Brendan had been waiting for their father for thirty minutes now.

"Calm down Rain, he'll be here soon." Five minutes later, a taxi pulled up to the school and Aaron stepped out of it. "There he is!" They ran over to him and gave him a hug.

"Hey! So sorry I'm late kids, traffic was insane."

"That's fine dad." Said Rain.

"Here, lemme get your luggage, dad." Brendan took the briefcase out of the taxi as it drove off.

"Thanks. I actually have something for you two."

"Oh, you didn't have to, dad!" Aaron just smiled and pulled two wooden shapes out of his pocket. A leaf and a cloud.

"These are great! Thanks so much dad, did you make these?"

"Sure did! Now are you gonna introduce me to your friends, or not?" They laughed as they started walking toward the courtyard.

Someone has been hacking into peoples profiles and deactivating their accounts. However, if they see that you have this journal on your page they will know you know what's going on and they will ignore you and move onto someone in your friends list! Re-post this for your safety, and make sure your friends are safe too!

Please, warn as many people as possible!

Normally I don't do this kind of stuff but it's better to safe than sorry.

This movie is a frickin' thrill ride! I was literally shaking. Amazing cinematography and acting, UGH it's just so good! Of course, it's PG-13 and there's good reasoning for that, so maybe don't bring the kiddes. I loved how suspenseful and realistic it all was! Even though the trailer revealed a bit, it's still definitely one of my favorites.

One thing this movie does right is channeling how much society sucks. I know that sounds bad, but if you've seen the movie, you know what I'm talking about. That climax though. I honestly thought they weren't gonna paint humanity in such a negative light, but thank god they did. It really raises awareness for how we...in lack of a better term, suck.

There's a scene where they play Soap by Melanie Martinez, which had me beaming, but there's a freaking scene on a carousel, and they DIDN'T play Carousel by Melanie Martinez. Missed opportunity, but oh well.

Here's where I get a teeny bit spoiler-y. Just a warning.

So...Mike was totally a player, right? I thought they were gonna go into more detail about what happened to him, and no, I haven't read the book. I thought Mike would be the kid from Seattle, but that wouldn't really make sense. My theory is that he was a player based on how Vee described him as the guy who "never said no." But let me know what you think! Or if they went into more detail in the book, tell me that!

Spoilers stop here.

I adored this movie. It's one of my favorites, hands down. Ignore the Rotten Tomatoes score, 56% is not fair. I think it deserves at least 86%. And that's generous because I usually hate stories about millennials. GO SEE IT!!!!
